The fireflies have been out all this week. Not so many of them as I've seen in past years though. Too bad, they are beautiful, wonderful little insects that never fail to make me smile.
Well, did another big 100k ride on my scooter yesterday along with Hubby on his Ninja. IT WAS SO WONDERFUL.
The "alive" feeling when riding is such an amazing thing. My sense of smell for example is not great any more but when we are riding, the smell of the trees, shrubs and peoples flower gardens is just incredible. Just stunning. Of course, it is also with a certain strength that one smells the farmers fields (LOL).
If there were a microphone in my helmut when I'm riding and I get into my hyper-aware-alive groove zone thingy going, you'd be hardpressed to NOT think I was mad. Interspersed with odd bits of blue language (due to certain drivers), you would hear spontaneous and infectious giggles and laughing erupting from distant depths inside me - much like a very small child does when they are on a swing and loving it for the first time, or when they squeal with delight when introduced to some new small thing.
The colours of the ride were exquisite - from the super white fluffy clouds to the vivid mid-range blue of the sky, to the multitudes of stunning and serene greens of the fields and forests. God I love experiencing and feeling a part of them so very much.
Well, today is a more back to earth day and I really do need to get some housework done. Not all is lost though, planning a quick trip to the yarn store - hoping for some NORO yarn as mentioned on my knitting page. Ta Ta for now.
